Air Chamber

Product Description

An air chamber can utilize the compressibility of air to convert the pulsating flow generated by a pump into a flow that is close to continuous. It helps reduce acceleration resistance, overfeed phenomena, and piping vibrations, thereby contributing to the longevity of the diaphragm pump itself. When using a pump with strong pulsations or when the pump discharge exceeds 1 [L/min], an air chamber should be installed. To maximize the effect of the air chamber, install it directly above the pump discharge outlet and regularly replenish the air.

Notes) For the material of an air chamber, use SUS (stainless steel) so far as that material is well resistant against your solution.
The resin-made air chamber is unavoidably affected by ultraviolet rays and liquid chemicals after a long time of use.
For safety purposes, please replace it with a new one approximately every three years. In addition, when attaching a resin air chamber, be sure to install the air chamber cover.
