This filter media is made from powdered feldspar, silica sand, clay, and other materials.
While its bulk density is approximately 2.3 to 2.5 g/cm³, its apparent density is only 1.0 to 1.2 g/cm³. Being lighter than filtration sand, it conserves backwash water volume.
- Ceramics G -
This filter material consists of porous glassy rock fragments formed when gases contained within Tertiary volcanic eruption rocks were explosively released during rapid cooling and solidification. Although its bulk density is relatively high at 2.4–2.6 g/cm³, its apparent density is low at 0.65–0.75 g/cm³, making it a porous, lightweight filter material.

●Contains dense bubbles, has many voids, and provides long filtration duration
●Can be layered with anthracite
Ceramics G
●Filter media made from naturally occurring volcanic rock with adjusted particle size
●Offers even more voids than Ceramics S
●Extremely lightweight, saving backwash water
Applications
●Circulation filtration for pools/baths
●Filtration for fish ponds and ornamental ponds
●Filtration of oily wastewater and domestic sewage
●Other applications for removing various suspended solids
