Filter sand for moving layers
[Moving bed type filtration], which continuously performs filtration without setting a cleaning process time, is used as an efficient filtration method. The feature of this method is a cleaning mechanism that can continuously extract and regenerate a part of the filter material while continuing the filtration.
Features
Since ordinary filtered sand follows the particle size distribution, the product quality is expressed by the effective diameter and equality coefficient, and the maximum diameter of filtered sand for water supply is as large as 1% of the total weight. However, if large sand particles are mixed in the mobile bed type filtration device, the movement of sand will be impaired and the cleaning function will not be exhibited. Therefore, we thoroughly manage the filter sand used for the mobile bed type filtration device, and specially prepare the filter sand with no particle size exceeding the upper limit as the mobile bed type filter sand.
