SMF Naked Type
This hollow fiber membrane module can be used not only as an immersion membrane for water purification but also as a membrane bioreactor (MBR) for wastewater treatment, where it is gaining attention.
Features
● Compact installation footprint
With a large membrane area of 20 m² per sheet, the entire system can be made smaller
● Scalable to increased treatment capacity
The submerged membrane system can easily handle increased treatment volumes by adding modules
● Stable treated water quality
Submerged membrane treatment ensures stable water quality regardless of deteriorating raw water quality during rainfall or poor sedimentation (bulking) issues in MBR systems
● Water recycling capability
PVDF membranes with a nominal pore size of 0.05 μm produce clear treated water suitable for direct reuse as reclaimed water
● Adaptable for various concentration and recovery applications
Can be utilized for concentrating and recovering high-value materials like rare metals, or for concentrating suspended solids in backwash water from filtration processes
Applications
Immersion Membrane Treatment
● Water purification facilities using rivers as raw water sources where turbidity sharply increases during rainfall
● Improving water recovery rates by collecting backwash effluent from filtration units
● Improving water quality in existing wastewater facilities
● Recycling backwash effluent and miscellaneous wastewater
● Concentrating and recovering high-value materials such as microalgae and rare metals
MBR
● Preventing bulking and improving treated water quality
● Reusing treated water as reclaimed water
● Addressing increased wastewater volumes due to production expansion
Product Specifications

*1 The design flow rate varies depending on operating conditions such as raw water quality, water temperature, supply pressure, and backwash conditions.
This value is a guideline. Please consult our sales representative during the design phase.
* Please note that oils and silicone-based defoamers may clog the membrane.
