SMF Vessel Type

A compact vessel-type SMF membrane capable of high-capacity processing

Features

● Achieves high flux through specialized membrane manufacturing
Freshwater flux: 6.8 m³/(m²·d) (0.2 MPa, 25℃)
High flux enables large-capacity water purification treatment

● Excellent cleaning capability achieved through combined water and air use
Effectively removes turbidity by combining backwashing with bubbling

● Capable of removing Cryptosporidium and Legionella
Nominal pore size of 0.05 μm enables removal of Cryptosporidium, a major threat to drinking water, and Legionella, a major threat to hot bath facilities and cooling towers

Applications

● Turbidity removal and infection control for water supply _and drinking water facilities
● Pre-treatment for RO membrane systems
● Large-scale industrial water filtration
● Sterile seawater production (for seafood processing)
*Pre-treatment may be required in some cases.

* Operating conditions: 0.2MPa in clear water
Maximum water flow 19.2m3/h
Maximum operating pressure 0.2MPa
Recommended design water volume Water purification system 13m3/h
Wastewater system 10m3/h

* This is our recommended value. Please make your own judgment.
* When ordering, please discuss with our sales representative about the number and arrangement of vessels according to the volume of treated water.
* Connection specifications: 50A housing fittings

Product Specifications

*1 Filtration capacity varies depending on operating conditions such as raw water quality, water temperature, supply pressure, and backwash conditions. This value is a guideline. Please consult our sales representative during design. Accurate design filtration capacity, backwash conditions, and other operating parameters can be determined by conducting membrane filtration tests using actual raw water. Membrane filtration tests are available for a fee.
*2 This refers to seawater after pretreatment.
When placing an order, please consult with our sales representative to determine the number of vessels and operating conditions based on the required treated water volume.

Filtration / washing method

Filtration process

Treated water can be obtained by allowing raw water to permeate from the outside to the inside of the hollow fiber.
(External pressure type total filtration method).

Washing process

After removing the dirt on the membrane surface by air bubbling, wash away the dirt in the pores by reverse osmotic of the treated water.

Standard washing method

Washing process Air wash 30 seconds → Backwash 30 seconds → Water drainage 10 seconds Air wash air volume 12Nm3/h
Washing frequency Once every 60 minutes Backwash water volume  About 2 times of the amount of filtered water

Standard processing flow
